UK NEQAS Pathological Conference
The Brief
The UK NEQAS for ICC & ISH Conference 2018 was held at the Guoman Tower Bridge Hotel, London. We were asked to supply audio visual equipment and support for the two day conference, supplying everything from confidence monitors for presenter notes to projectors, speakers and high specification show laptops.
Our Approach
There was a lot of information and discussion to fit into the 2 conference days so it was paramount that we ran to time. To help achieve this we included countdown timers at the stage, controlled remotely by our dedicated technical team, including a seamless switcher allowed us to update presentations on a second laptop, meaning any speakers arriving mid session wouldn’t affect the flow of the day. We also managed a 250 pax voting system to show real time infographics on the displays for audience interaction. We designed the technical setup in such a way that it could be easily split into three smaller rooms for the clients breakout sessions. After the first day of conferencing we included a few extra items to support a change around for evening entertainment and evening dining.

Our client was especially pleased with the high quality projectors and flat screens that were used to accurately display the fine detail and colour information held in the histology images. We utilised LCD relay screens around the room to make sure all delegates had a good view. Working in the hotel many times before over the years was also an added bonus for them.
